- Adapt business continuity frameworks for rural-urban operational realities
- Leverage local strengths (e.g., renewable energy, community networks) to build systemic resilience
Objective / Purpose
The COVID-19 pandemic was more than a health crisis— it was a stress test exposing global vulnerabilities for governments, businesses, and communities across the globe. In Sarawak, the pandemic revealed both the vulnerabilities and resilience of our systems, from palm oil to tourism, with brutal force. Remote communities faced logistics nightmares, while urban businesses scrambled to adapt. As we rebuild, the need for proactive, locally relevant business continuity and risk management strategies has never been clearer.
